David Odom is president and founder of Odom Engineering PLLC in Forest City, NC. Since 1998, his experience with the firm has included engineering design, project management, capital improvement planning for municipalities, and corporate management. His wide experience in all types of civil engineering projects include water and sewer system design, street design, site development, capital planning and project funding.
In 2014, Odom Engineering was selected to be the lead civil engineer for Tryon International Equestrian Center under David’s leadership. David’s experience with this project has included the civil engineering of a 1,000+acre property that features 10 riding arenas, 850 permanent stalls, a covered riding facility, multiple restaurants and retail shops and a fitness center. In addition, Odom Engineering was instrumental in the engineering of additional resort amenities including Cleghorn Golf & Gun Club and the Lodge on Lake Lure. Future expansion includes a sports complex, 180-room resort hotel, and an 18-hole golf course.
David is professionally registered in both North and South Carolina and is affiliated with the American Water Works Association, the Professional Engineers of North Carolina and an instructor of North Carolina School for Water & Sewer Certified Operators.
He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD.
