Chris Waters, our esteemed Senior AutoCAD Draftsman, has been an integral part of our team since March 1, 2000. Chris holds an Associate of Applied Science in Mechanical Drafting Technology from Isothermal Community College and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology from Western Carolina University.
In his distinguished career, Chris has been a key contributor to project management, planning, and design. His expertise includes Hec-Ras Flood Study evaluations, Dam Breach analysis, Watercad System models, Arc-GIS layouts, data collection, office IT, and site inspections. His commitment to precision and excellence has significantly contributed to the success of numerous projects.
Beyond his professional life, Chris cultivates diverse interests and hobbies. He is an accomplished woodworker and carver, showcasing his creativity in every piece. Chris is also dedicated to learning the piano and spends cherished moments with his wife. His love for the outdoors is evident in his passion for fishing and hunting.
Chris is actively involved in the community, reflecting his commitment to service. Having served as a retired firefighter from Hudlow Fire Rescue for 20 years, he continues to contribute as a docent at the New Bern Fire Museum. Additionally, Chris has been the past President of Rutherford County Woodworkers and currently serves as the Real Bearded Santa for New Bern, NC, bringing joy to the community during the festive season.
