Maria Emma Barden

Emma has been a part of Team Odom since July 2017.  Since then, she has worked on Structural Design, Floor Layout, and PM&E Engineering Design Projects for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.  She also works on plan drawings and detailing of site development, erosion control, and utility plans.  She assists in the preparation of documents and submittals for permitting.  In addition to that, she also prepares proposals and has worked on other administrative work.
 
Before joining Team Odom, Emma is a licensed architect in the Philippines.  She migrated to the United States in April 2017.   She graduated from Mapua Institute of Technology in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and received her Architecture License in 2009.  She has been part of an Architectural Design Firm for 8 years that designs high-rise condominiums for several Residential Property Developers.  She has also worked for 4 years as a Project In-Charge/Sr. Architect and handled the High-End Condominium and Hotel Projects of one of the biggest Property Developers in the Philippines.  
 
Emma has a 2-year-old son with her husband, Justin Shane.  She loves playing golf with her family whenever they get a chance.  She also enjoys watching movies with them, cook-out on the weekends while listening to music, and traveling, may it be a trip to the beach or Black Mountain, NC, to her Aunt’s place.  Emma loves to make earrings, hair accessories, and DIY projects.
